Online Services and Gatherings
wednesdays at 7:30pm via Zoom
Vespers are an end of day gathering where we take a deep breath, sit with other folks journeying in the faith and simply enjoy being together. We have a brief time of group connection followed by scripture, reflection and prayer. Then we bid one another a restful night and look forward to our next gathering.
The month of May brings another round of Wednesday Vespers. When we gather our theme will include hearing a familiar Psalm and scripture. Then we’ll spend some moments learning about the life of Henri Nouwen. We will hear and reflect on a spiritual words of inspiration. Henri writes with the “language of the heart”. If you are not familiar with his life and works here are couple of observations. “ Henri Nouwen is the most inspiring spiritual guide of our time.” Dan Wakefield and Author Wendy Wilson Greer shared “On several occasions I asked Henri to recommend books on prayer to me, but with one exception, he always said emphatically, ‘You learn to pray by praying’.”
